A COLLABORATIVE POEM WRITTEN BY SIR S.T. GOODHEAD ( NIGERIA ) & . SOMDATTA MITRA ( INDIA )
TITLE : INJUSTICE
The tears are flowing like rivers of water,
The streets of our lands are littered with the pieces of injustice,
Oh, ah, the young and the old are weeping in sack cloth,
The dawn of a new day turned to a morning of mourning.

The vociferous exclaimations connote the affectation of our society,
The discriminations with a corrupt ideology suppress the sobriety.
The dark nights dismantle,
the silent dreams in a fallow to strangle.

The hopes of the poor masses are messed up with inconsiderate leaders
Every day they’re taken from frying pan to fire
No conscience to discern right from wrong
And injustice is crying from from her victims

No securities for women in the society ,
Payment is segregated under gender inequality.
Reservations of seats in education or jobs primarily,
Injustice honks for a commotion to procure harmony.

We are deprived of our rights and our freedom is as a living corpse
There is so much of domestic violence and the victims aren’t salvaged.
Many are taking the law into their hands as tool for oppression
The guilty ones live in freedom while the innocent ones lavish in jails.

In the edifice of corruption and discrimination ,
The ululation of the silent , affected souls;
dogmatised by subterfuge feel helpless.
Talents , skills , expertise , scholarly merits are framed with nails ,
That comprise fangs of ferocity and malignity.
