COLLABORATIVE POEM BY
SIR S.T. GOODHEAD OF NIGERIA
&
SOMDATTA MITRA OF INDIA
TITLE : IT’S EASY TO HURT OTHERS , TOO DIFFICULT TO WIN HEARTS .
Engraved with rage, hurting the feelings,
Without recourse to think of the effect,
Deadened conscience that has been framed with fantasy of lies,
That destroy the hearts and minds of others,
Hurts are hot to be carried on the head like fire,
If ever the heart is hurt by the actions and reactions of others,
It it often hard to be healed by mere sorry.

In the labyrinths of indignity ,
A macabre leads to vulnerability .
Offending ,annoying and insulting others will segregate feelings ,
Nothing will be achieved except malice and idiocy.
To develop a rambunctious mind towards honesty ,
Self – realisation and peace of mind may permeate a sense of salvation.

Offences will come since we’re not perfect
But don’t act like an old school prefect
Who loves offending people like a cricket
Don’t go about hurting others with bad dialect
In a way that is so direct or even indirect

Hounding those who are innocent ,
Trapped in the bedlam of impetuous , yeverous woe.
It’s easy to be atrocious and ruthless ,
Where the compassion is grinded under venomous instincts.
It’s very difficult to win hearts ,
Through constant care and sharing love like a stalwart
