Igniting hearts with love and kindling cheerfulness,

Glorious day to sojourn a victory in earnestness.

That darkness where Satan resides ,

Lamps envelope those superstitions ;

In an aglow.

Diwali illuminates several hearts with joy and prosperity,

Crackers burst and home embellishments raise vibes in a divinity.

The mythology still relates that old story,

Lord Ram’s arrival to Ayodhya is an awareness to glory.

Life ensembles in a purity and prosperity ,

Progress mellow with righteousness and faith.

The lamps aggrandize the efficacy of delight,

The brightness shone in purified minds under the moonlight.

Worshipping , garlanding deities spread a spiritual bliss,

Candles brighten the beautiful smiles.

Embracing humanity in each moment ,

Fulfilling wishes or decorating fervid fascinations.

Streets , houses , rooms or terrace ,

All enlighten and intensify the precious moments.

Sweets and delicacies enthuse a charm ,

Festive spirit bestow an integrity which is phenomenon.

Poor or old , destitute , orphans and impoverished ,

Vivacity , bliss , donations restore,

their jubilations being astonished.

Goddess of prosperity enshrined and coronated,

Prayers , invitations , new attires augment to an oblivion.

Diwali instils love for each other,

Festival of lights gleam,

And beautify with incandescent smiles.

Another Hindu festival Kali Puja ,

falls on the same day of Diwali.

Where Goddess Kali is worshipped,

with pomp and ardour .

The divine deity is garlanded with skulls of demons ,

As the Hindu mythology redeem.

Goddess Kali emerged from the forehead of Goddess Durga ,

While she was battling with the demon Raktabija.

On Amabasya midnight as the calender indicates ,

Goddess Kali is worshipped with complete faith.
