Mawlana Hazar Imam mori pjesë në një darkë të shtruar këtë mbrëmje për nder të tij nga Presidenti i Pakistanit, Shkëlqesia e Tij Asif Ali Zardari, në Aiwan-e-Sadr, rezidencën zyrtare të Presidentit.
Në banket ishin Kryeministri Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Zëvendëskryeministri Ishaq Dar, Marshalli i Fushës dhe Shefi i Forcave të Mbrojtjes Syed Asim Munir, Kryetari i Senatit Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Kryetari i Asamblesë Kombëtare Sardar Ayaz Sadiq dhe Kryeministri i Sindhit Syed Murad Ali Shah.
Gjithashtu të pranishëm ishin ministra federalë, anëtarë të parlamentit dhe anëtarë të komunitetit diplomatik.
Darka pasoi një takim midis Hazar Imam dhe Presidentit Zardari, ku ata diskutuan partneritetin e mirëvendosur midis Imamatit Ismaili dhe Pakistanit, duke përfshirë projektet dhe programet e ndryshme të AKDN-së në të gjithë vendin.
AKDN ka qenë aktive në Pakistan që nga viti 1905. Agjencitë e saj plotësojnë përpjekjet e qeverisë në shëndetësi, arsim, zhvillim rural, kulturë dhe zhvillim ekonomik, dhe kanë marrë çmime të shumta kombëtare dhe ndërkombëtare për programet e tyre.
Kjo është hera e parë që Hazar Imam viziton Pakistanin që nga viti 2024, kur Presidenti Zardari i dha atij çmimin Nishan-e-Pakistan, çmimin më të lartë civil të vendit, në njohje të kontributeve të gjata të familjes së tij në vend. Mawlana Shah Karim mori të njëjtin nder në vitin 1983, duke u bashkuar me një listë të shquar të marrësve që përfshijnë Mbretëreshën Elizabeth II dhe Nelson Mandela.

Mawlana Hazar Imam attended a dinner this evening hosted in his honour by the President of Pakistan His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the President’s official residence.
Guests at the banquet included Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir, Chairman of the Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.
Also in attendance were federal ministers, members of parliament and members of the diplomatic community.
The dinner followed a meeting between Hazar Imam and President Zardari, where they discussed the well established partnership between the Ismaili Imamat and Pakistan, including AKDN’s various projects and programmes across the country.
AKDN has been active in Pakistan since 1905. Its agencies complement the government’s efforts across health, education, rural development, culture, and economic development, and have received numerous national and international awards for their programmes.
This is the first time Hazar Imam is visiting Pakistan since 2024, when President Zardari conferred upon him the Nishan-e-Pakistan, the nation’s highest civilian award, in recognition of his family’s longstanding contributions to the country. Mawlana Shah Karim received the same honour in 1983, joining a distinguished list of recipients that includes Queen Elizabeth II and Nelson Mandela.
