Around the city
There was a large reedbed.
Because of this reedbed
Mosquitoes sucked the blood of the people.
Then a solution was found:
The reedbed was dried, and in its place
Five officials built villas.
And the people were happy —
But those officials sucked the people’s blood
Even more.
Result:
The mosquitoes were still better.
At least they carried our blood inside them.
What a pity for the days that passed…
