Sikur të takoheshim me vetveten sy më sy, çfarë do t’i thoshim vallë?
Do të ndiheshim në faj apo do t’i pëshpërisnim ngadalë: të dua?
Nëse me veten do uleshim këmbëkryq, në biseda të gjata pa fjalë,
A do rrinim më shumë me të, apo do shkonim të flinim gjumë?
Nëse vetja do fliste në heshtje, do tregonte gjithçka ndjente,
Do nxirrte jashtë çdo mendim—do rinit me të apo do largoheshit zbathur?
Vetja është një mike e vështirë.
