History…today…future!
If history is a mirror to the future, today is a torch that illuminates that mirror, the air that reflects blue, the water that purifies it, the earth that holds it…
They used to say that without historical memory, there is no future. Yes, I get and learn my true identity from my parents, my teacher, Temur, Babur, Khanzodabegim and Zebiniso. If you count, we have immortal masterpieces that are inexhaustible… Strength, courage, bravery, love for the motherland, loyalty – we are expected to learn everything from history, infuse it into our blood and continue on our path. The foundation of our motherland is not written in history, it is left in the dark past, the labor of so many of our ancestors was broken. So how can we not praise them, how can we forget them? After all, this nation did not arise by itself … The younger generation must study this deeply so that they can always be a generation worthy of their ancestors! For this, first of all, it is necessary to know history, understand the present, and strive for the future. Today, as Uzbekistan stands on the threshold of the 3rd Renaissance, it is necessary to deeply understand these three words. The most urgent problem for today’s youth is “knowing themselves”, “understanding their identity”. After all, many of my peers are constantly looking for motivation to work on themselves, to improve their knowledge and skills. However, even if they find a sharper word for themselves, this “fuel” will only affect them for three or four days. Why?.. Because they have studied history, they breathe today – they live in the future, and as a result, they cannot bring anything to the future. As it is emphasized in books, the past (memory) and the future (dreams and hopes) should not be confused with real life, that is, the present. True happiness is also living in the present, breathing with the symphony of gratitude, discovering one’s own identity …
So, we need to study, to know every drop of our history deeply. Especially, the new literature, which has been under dark clouds, not only shows and moves how important knowledge is in our recent history, but also shows.
If I speak within the framework of my own experience as an example of the thinking of today’s generation, I realize my big mistake. In my school days, I was one of the top, excellent students in our class. I was exemplary and active at events, my honorable mentions adorned our home shelf – I lived two lives – moments of fame that had passed and the future I dreamed of… One of Imam Ghazi’s sayings rings in my ears at these moments: “keep doing” – this famous phrase is emphasized by many successful people. I wonder if I would have understood myself better if I had followed this phrase at that time, if I had not been deceived by “sudden successes”. Because at that time I liked that level and comfort – my grades were excellent by themselves, and I was in the center of events. I remember – then I did not strive for knowledge like I do today – my present was spent only remembering bright memories and making pleasant dreams. I did not feel the present. In addition, entering the university expanded this “comfort zone” and relaxed me. Now I understand: my ego, saying “I did not enter the direction I wanted”, kept me away from the world of science for two years and put me in a depressed mood. Depression makes a person sick, both body and soul – the generation that creates the Renaissance should be vigilant against this scourge and not remain in its torment for a long time. Finally, in 2022, with the recommendations of Muhammadali Eshonkulov, I finished reading Abdulfattah ibn Gudda’s “The Value of Time in the Eyes of Scholars”. At that time, my forehead felt like it hit a wall. What a great conqueror Eastern literature is. Now I have begun to conquer its caravans: I have developed, I have once again come closer to understanding myself. When I open my eyes in the morning, I realize how important today is, I have to get something done today.Have you noticed a strange phenomenon? If I feel the present: without remembering the past, without dreaming about the future, the feeling of gratitude will play in my heart, I will continue to remember God. Do you have the same? From this I understand that living now is more happiness than any happiness.
At the end of my speech, I would like to say 3 words to the creators of the renaissance, understand these 3 words more deeply. History is important, and so are plans for the future. But now – your life. Don’t miss it…
